SlopeGauge uses a few cookies, and saves a couple of settings in your browser. None are for advertising, analytics, or following you around other sites, and no third party sets cookies on SlopeGauge pages. This is the complete list.

Cookies

sb-…-auth-token
Keeps you signed in. Set only when you sign in, and removed when you sign out. Without it, accounts can’t work. A related short-lived cookie is also used while a sign-in or email link is in progress, and is removed when it finishes.
ss_ref
Remembers which affiliate’s link brought you here, so they can be credited if you buy a pass. It holds only the affiliate’s code, nothing about you. Set only when you follow an affiliate link, and expires after 30 days.
slopegauge:prefs
Holds the conditions you prefer when they can’t be saved to an account. Lasts up to a year, and is removed once your preferences are saved to your account.

Saved in your browser

These stay on your device and are never sent to us.

slopegauge:units
Whether you see imperial or metric units.
slopegauge:a2hs-dismissed
When you closed the “add to home screen” tip, so it doesn’t keep coming back.

Other sites

Paying for a season pass takes you to Stripe’s checkout, and signing in with Google takes you to Google. Those pages are on their own websites and set their own cookies, which their privacy policies cover.

Turning them off

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Forecasts will still work, but you won’t be able to stay signed in. Read the privacy policy for everything else we collect.
